The Love Poem
You left me a long time ago I’m still alone today. I wished you didn’t walk out the door but who am I to stay? I loved you so very much expressed love in every way to only have you turn and look and say you don’t feel the same. I’m sorry that I let you down was not a better friend. But no matter what comes up I’ll love you ‘til the end. No truer words then...
These wounds are open. Smelling. Open. Soft. They sizzle badly. Every-time I go to where we were. You are not there. I am the locust. Devouring the plain. You are the field mouse. Alive in the grain. I wish I was the hawk. Then I could figure you out. You wish I was a beta. Then you’d never have to take me out. I find myself talking to pictures. and laughing at signs. Kissing the ground....
